The Third Kingdom By Terry Goodkind

The Third Kingdom by Terry Goodkind
Rated 4 of 5 stars.
Kindle Edition, 528 pages
Published August 20th 2013 by Tor Books

Synopsis
Terry Goodkind returns to the lives of Richard Rahl and Kahlan Amnell—in The Third Kingdom, the direct sequel to his #1 New York Times bestseller The Omen Machine.

Richard saw the point of a sword blade sticking out from between the man’s shoulder blades. He spun back toward Richard after throwing the woman out the opening, ready to attack. It seemed impossible, but the man looked unaffected by the blade that had impaled him through the chest.
It was then, in the weak light from the fire pit off to the side, that Richard got his first good look at the killer.
Three knives were buried up to their brass cross-guards in the man’s chest. Only the handles were showing. Richard saw, too, the broken end of a sword blade jutting out from the center of the man’s chest. The point of that same blade stuck out from the man’s back. Richard recognized the knife handles. All three were the style carried by the men of the First File.
He looked from those blades that should have killed the big man, up into his face.
That was when he realized the true horror of the situation, and the reason for the unbearable stench of death.

My Thoughts
After the Sword of Truth series, I was expecting more from Goodkind. The Omen Machine and The First Confessor weren't very good books. I thought The Third Kingdom would be just as bad. However, I was shocked. No, it is not as good as the SOT series, but it has its own flavor. The Third Kingdom eplains some things that are not in TFC. Richard was the main POV in this book. Goodkind through in a POV from Kahlin as if he forgot about her. She was uncontious for most of the book. I thought Goodkind would show us what was going on with Zed and the gang, but that never happened. We learn about a new kingdom. Hints the title The Third Kingdom, or the north wall. If you have not read The Omen Machine and The First Confessor. I highly recommend you check those books out before you read The Third Kingdom. So, lets just say over all, I really enjoyed this book. I some of the old Richard from SOT, but don't get me wrong he wasn't a bad as like he was in SOT. Goodkind brings in a new character named Sam or Samantha. She is how we find out about the Third Kingdom. So, make sure you pick up your copy of The Third Kingdom. So, over all this was an good book, but I was epecting the old Richard and Kahlan. Something more action pack, but Goodkind is listening to his fans because this book is much better than his prevous work

Three Little Words By Susan Mallery

Three Little Words by Susan Mallery
My Rating: 5 of 5 stars, 464 pages
Synopsis: Can first love turn into the real deal in a sizzling new Fool's Gold story from New York Times bestselling author Susan Mallery? Isabel Carlisle thinks she's cursed in the romance department. Her teenage crush, Ford Hendrix, ignored all her letters. Her husband left her for another...man. So Isabel has come home to dust off her passion for fashion and run the family bridal shop until her parents are ready to sell it. Then she'll pursue her real dreams. At least, that's the plan, until sexy, charming Ford returns and leaves her feeling fourteen all over again....

Seeing Isabel all grown up hits bodyguard trainer Ford like a sucker punch. Back when heartbreak made him join the military, her sweet letters kept him sane. Now he can't take his eyes—or his lips—off her. The man who gave up on love has a reason to stay in Fool's Gold forever—if three little words can convince Isabel to do the same.

My Thoughts

Hometown hero Ford Hendrix returns to Fools Gold to relax and help with the new bodyguard school. But relax is not what he gets. Isabel is no longer the young girl that had a crush on her big sisters boyfriend. She is all grown up, and she has no time for love and heart ache.

However, all of her plans go down the drain when Ford Hendrix comes back to town. Ford is tired of his mother trying to find him a wife, so he asks Isabel if she would be his fake girlfriend. But somewhere along the line fake turns into real. Will Ford be able to give his heart to the woman that kept him grounded while in the military, or will he loose a good thing?

Will Isabel change all of her plans for a man she has been in love with since she was a child? Make sure to pick up a copy of this awesome book!

Susan Mallery scores with another steamy romance. This time we get to see the relationship Bloom between Ford and Isabel.
I have been a huge fan of Susan for a while. Her Fools Gold series has been my favorite, but Fords story is one of my favorite. I have been waiting for this book for a while. Ford has always been talked about in other books, but we have never read about him before.

Susan has done an amazing job in writing this book. Ford and Isabel are two awesome characters. I thought it was so cute how Isabel use to write Ford letters when she was a child.

The romance was perfect. Fools Gold is always known for their happy endings. They may seem a bit rocky sometimes, but they can never say no to love.

This book will have you falling in love with the characters, and wishing you were the ladies. Ford is a sweet talker that will have you melting where you stand.

I recommend all romance fans to pick up a copy of this book. I am so excited to get the next FG book by Susan!!
