BOOK BLURB:

Cooper Cruz knows what it means to be surrounded and bound by family. Loyalty, brotherhood, and protection are all learned, earned, and respected by him and the Ravage Motorcycle Club family he grew up in. At the same, he’s a man, having fun and living the life he has always envisioned, until a trip to Florida changes everything.

Bristyl Daniels knows what it means to be smothered and bound by family. Bonds run deep with her father and all the members of the Sinister Sons Motorcycle Club she has grown up in. But now she’s all woman and wishes they would see she isn’t a little girl anymore. Then one phone call gives her a chance meeting with a hunk of a man she can’t get off her mind.

When her favorite band comes to play at a motorcycle rally in her hometown, Bristyl decides it’s worth the risk to sneak off for a little fun. When a situation gets heated, though, Cooper and the Ravage MC step in, setting off a chain of events, both good and bad in both their lives.

As the dust settles, Bristyl will have to come to some very hard decisions. Meanwhile, Cooper knows exactly what he wants. To hell with the consequences.

** Bound by Family (Ravage MC Bound Series #1) is a standalone full-length novel. You do not have to read the Ravage MC series to follow this book, but if you’d like to see where it all started, you really should. **

EXCERPT:

Bristyl

Holy hells bells.

I’m not sure if I should be pissed that my brothers and father left me to deal with this mess or thank them for the gorgeous eye candy. Not that I would, because they’d have a fit either way, but damn. Maybe it’s my mom smiling down on me, giving me a ray of sunshine through this mess.

All three of the guys are hot in their own way. By the cuts on their backs, they belong to the Ravage Motorcycle Club. Here for the rally, of course, and will be gone in a flash. That’s how it is. What the hell, I’ll enjoy the view while I can.

I sop up the water and wring out the mop head, then repeat … again and again.

Ryker, who boldly introduced himself, is a player. Yep, seen hundreds of them in my day growing up in the club. Tattoos, sexy vibe … I bet he doesn’t even have to ask women, just crooks his finger.

The other man, who I’m not sure his name, looks a little lighter in a way, but I’m not sure how to describe it.

Cooper, though. My heavens. Talk about charismatic, and I got that just from the few words he spoke to me. Hell, I get it just from being in the same room with him. It’s like he oozes it out of his pores, releasing it out in the world for women to fall at his feet and beg. Then there’s the hair. I can’t call it light, and it’s definitely not dark. It’s a unique combination of the two; light browns intertwined with a few darker browns, giving his hair a shade I haven’t seen before. Like a caramel color with an edge, and long. So much so that he has a hair tie wrapped around his wrist. No doubt he puts it up regularly. I’d put money on it only amping up his sexiness.

When our eyes connected for that brief moment, the blue popped out in his. I also noticed some navy around the edges. That combination of hair and eyes … Be still my deprived heart.

The way his pants ride low on his hips makes me want to give up all kinds of things to get him to raise his arms above his head so his black T-shirt rises up and I can see what’s underneath.

He has tattoos running all up his left arm, disappearing under his shirt. I can see some black poking through the top at his neck, too. It piques my curiosity, wanting to find out what he’s hiding.

I shake my head and squeeze out the mop. It’s been way too long since … Never mind.

5 Stars

When I see a new book by Ryan Michele is releasing I sign up without asking any questions and sometimes without reading the blurb.  Everything she writes is golden and I trust her to deliver an amazing story.

Bound by Family was everything I wanted and expected.  I was hooked from page one.  I adored these characters.

I love the Ravage MC series,  but from book one I can already tell this series is going to be better.

I am so excited for the next book in the series.  This is a Standalone,  but I highly recommend you go back and read the other series to get a feel for the characters.

Release Blitz Giveaway & 6 star Review: We Said Forever by Marie James

Title: We Said Forever
Author: Marie James
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: March 15, 2017

Blurb

Rock bottom.

They say the only way to go from there is up, but what is “up” when you’re born into someone else’s rock bottom?

At ten, football became my first love. It’s what got me out of the house away from my self-destructive family. My love for football landed me at Las Vegas University with a full ride scholarship, and the orange on my jersey was my favorite color…until my eyes landed on the red dress Fallyn wore the night we met.

At twenty-one, I jumped off the cliff into the unknown the second Fallyn McIntyre danced in my arms at a party. I had the greatest girl in the world and the opportunity to play college ball every Saturday. My rock bottom was looking up, thanks to my two first loves.

Parties, sex, and football—life was perfect. But one drink too many, and my world came crashing down. When I chose pills over my second love, my head told me it was the best decision I ever made. The pills keep me warm and protect me from the distance Fallyn created. Percs don’t judge me. They make me feel alive.

Threes.

They say the best things come in threes, but one leads to a stable future, one is my salvation, and the other drags me to hell—a hell I’d willingly burn in for eternity…if it weren’t for my second love.

Holy fucking shit!

We Said Forever is not what I was expecting AT ALL. It was a rollercoaster of emotions that hit me back to back to fucking back.

This book was Heart aching but amazingly beautiful. Marie James has out done herself with this one.

I cried for Fallyn, I cried for Blaze, and after it was all said and done I cried just because. I devoured this book within a few hours, and I am still thinking about this book.

This is Marie James's best book yet. There are no words. Just read it.

6 stars Ms. James. This is my second book I have given 6 stars too, and I still think it deserves more.

Top recommendation.

Excerpt

Turning to face the guy who is either too stupid or too drunk to take a hint, my eyes land on the handsome face of a tall blond with the lightest blue eyes I’ve ever seen.

The smirk on his face clearly indicates he believes I should be impressed. And I am. There’s no doubt about it. I’m completely fascinated by the ego this douchebag emits with one simple look. Without a word, I let my eyes trail from the top of his purposely mussed hair that probably took longer to fix than mine to the orange chucks adorning his big feet.

He allows the perusal, awaiting my approval. Cocking an eyebrow at his blatant, pompous attitude, I push his hands off my hips.

“Not a chance, buddy,” I say before turning back toward the kitchen.

My legs tremble, wobbling on my already unsteady heels. I release a long, slow breath, hoping he disappeared into the crowd. The last thing I need is for him to notice the way my eyes lingered on his stubbled jaw and the muscles of his chest even his clothes can’t hide. I’m almost certain he could sense my quick, unmasked arousal. One look was all it took for this man to creep his way under my skin and throb in my core. He’s got self-entitled, bad boy, asshole written all over him—character traits I would have dropped anything for a few years ago. Not today, though. Those are flaws I left in Utah when I graduated high school.

The same firm grip reaches for me again, wrapping all the way around my body and pulling my back against an incredibly strong chest.

I close my eyes for a moment, allowing only a second of contact before turning around and readying my hand to slap him across the face for taking such liberties without my permission—just another alpha asshole attribute that used to make me swoon.

“You need to get your—”

His finger covers my lips, preventing me from getting my words out. My attempt at what I’m sure was going to be a very eloquent threat against his manhood falters as he pulls me closer to his body. His leg somehow finds its way between mine as he squats a couple inches to decrease the differences in our height.

The strong hand that has reached for me twice tonight is around my back, fingers splayed against the thin red fabric. The finger that halted my words trails down the column of my damp neck before gripping around at my nape. Gooseflesh follows the trail, racing over my fevered skin. He holds me against him, guiding me to the rhythm I hated until this very second. Like the traitorous slut she is, my body molds against him, every soft inch against his hardness.

“I don’t,” I begin again, only to have his hand leave my neck to push another finger against my parted lips.

I watch, enthralled and utterly stupid, as his bottom lip rolls between his teeth at the same time his thumb sweeps over mine.

I cave, wholeheartedly capitulating to the moment. Ignoring the warning bells going off in my head, screaming at me to bolt through the front door and not look back, I grip the silky athletic fabric of his jersey and pull him closer. A knowing grin lights his face and sparkles in the crystal blue of his eyes.

One song blends into another as our bodies close every millimeter of distance. No words are spoken as the countdown begins. No promises are made when the clock strikes midnight. No way I’ll survive this man when his breath becomes mine. No chance I’ll see him again when swaying all night turns into dancing tongues. No possibility of keeping my promise of no bad boys when one hand grips my nape and the other squeezes my ass.

Alcohol has never really been my thing. The memory of the first time I drank heavy liquor in high school is enough to make my stomach sour, but the bourbon on this guy’s lips is the perfect mix of sweet and spicy. It’s, hands down, the most satisfying thing I’ve tasted since the ice cream I had after getting my tonsils removed when I was seven. I savor every fraction of a second, every slow glide of his tongue against mine, each time his lips pull back a fraction and turn up to smile against mine.

Without so much as one spoken word, this man has managed to master my body, persuading it to beg for more, coaxing whimpers from my mouth when he pulls away, only to ensure it pants a seductive moan when those skilled lips find my neck.

From New York Times bestselling author, J. Daniels, comes a sexy new STANDALONE novel.

Riley Tennyson has made a huge mistake.

At least, that’s what she keeps telling herself.

Showing up to her brother’s wedding pissed off and newly single, Riley seeks comfort in solitude and an open bar, until the gorgeous and irresistibly charming CJ Tully makes her a better offer―a wild night with the master of smooth-talking where nothing is off limits.

Riley does what any single woman would do, and a connection is made. One neither one of them can ignore. But when she comes home to the boyfriend she no longer thought she had, Riley buries her secret and begs CJ to do the same.

Forget about each other. It was a mistake. That’s all it was… right?

Desires are hidden. Distance is kept. Until one night CJ makes the ultimate sacrifice, and Riley can no longer avoid the man she can’t stop thinking about.

Not with him sleeping down the hall…

This. Book. Was. AMAZING!!

J Daniels has created another kicka$$ book that had me hooked.

Cj Cj Cj. Oh how I loved Cj.

His love for Riley was so sweet. He was so caring. Heck, I think I fell in love with him. I just loved every sweet thing he did. He stood up for her, he protected her, he loved her, he did it all.

Their sex was crazy hot. It burned up the pages each and every time.

There is just not enough words to explain how much I loved this book. You are just going to have to give it a read yourself.

Interview with Carol Brown

Fire and Ice Book Reviews
Interview with Carol Brown

1.  Tell us a little about you. How many books have you written?
I’ve written seven so far, and hope to have at least two more out this year. I’m a fairly slow writer because I also love, love, love my family and traveling. We live on a small hobby farm and piddle (now that’s an interesting word!) with a few animals, a small garden (veggies and flowers), garden pond, etc. We have two sons, one daughter in law, and three grand boys. If you are around me long enough I always insist on equal (or a little more! Lol) time to brag on the grand boys. ( I’ve had a lot of interests through the years, but right now focus on my writing, scrap booking, traveling and being with family and friends.

2.  When writing is there something you keep next to you at all times like water or a snack?
I love water, so I usually have a bottle on my desk close at hand. Once in awhile I’ll crave a sweet, and have a container of some favorites near by, but I always try to limit how much. (  Homemade treats (like brownies or real cheesecake) are my favorite, so I’m not too tempted by other things.

But in the evenings, many times I enjoy popcorn and a little ice cream.

3.  What’s one random fact about you that not many people know?
In our travels, I’ve worked with the Native Americans, eaten both hot, hot, hot and boring, unflavored stews, shucked corn with a witch doctor’s wife, visited in a hogan, and tried weaving and fry bread making.

4.  Do you listen to music while writing? If yes, what do you listen to?
Sometimes. When I do, I LOVE oldies (that makes me pick up my heels, so it’s hard to sit in my chair and write!) and/or classic country (that either makes me sigh sappily or cry) I also enjoy occasionally, concert or classical music (that gives me the feeling, usually, that I can conquer all!). Lol. Probably depends on certain scenes I’m writing.

5.  Tell us about your books.
I’ve written seven so far:
The Redemption of Caralynne Hayman (debut novel). It’s a stand alone, but another may be in the works for the future.
The Denton and Alex Davies Mystery series. This involves a early-retired, married couple who travel the U.S. in their RV and with their Jack Russell, Taffy. As all good amateur detectives do, they land in mysteries that are interesting and intriguing. So far, they’ve solved one in Tennessee and one in New Mexico. The third book will be set in Colorado. Hog Insane. Bat Crazy (and coming…Daffy’s Duck)
The WWII Spies Series. With Music in Their Hearts was the first book and featured the first red-headed Rayner sister: Emma Jaine and the spy, Tyrell Walker. The second book, coming soon…A Flute in the Willows.
The Appleton, WV Romantic Mystery series. These are about the people and friends of the fictitious town of Appleton, each book featuring a friend, her love life and possible heroes, and the mystery. So far, I’ve written: Sabotaged Christmas, Knight in Shining Apron, and Undiscovered Treasures. The fourth book, coming soon…will feature the first book with a male as the main protagonist: Toby’s Troubles.

6.  Is there a particular book that you wrote that you are most proud of? Why?
My debut novel, The Redemption of Caralynne Hayman, is a serious (with lots of fun touches to ease the suspense), look at what cults can do, how abuse injures, and what the heart is capable of, both good and bad. It’s touched many hearts, and has won or finaled in several different contests. The book idea came from my husband and his editing help with scenes and dialogues, helped make it what it became.

7.  Out of all your books is there a character you connect to the most? If yes, who is it, and feel free to explain why.
Hmmm. I love them all, but perhaps the first book in my WWII Spies series: With Music in Their Heart, Emma Jaine Rayner. I modeled her after my mother, her young girl-hood tales and pictures from her past. Emma Jaine’s spunky, a bit bossy, determined, and well capable of running the boarding room business she begins in her own home. A young lady caught up in caring for her younger sisters and semi-retired ship captain father, but also a person longing for the right man to come along and sweep her off her feet. I think I connect mostly because it so aptly portrays what I envision my mother’s life could-have-been!

8.  What are you currently working on?
I’m finishing up the second book in my WWII Spies Suspense series: A Flute in the Willows (featuring the second, red-headed daughter). I’m also planning to finish the third book in my Denton and Alex Davies Mystery series: Daffy’s Duck. I love this one because of the Down’s Syndrome young woman who will be part of the story.

9.  Tell you what inspired you to start writing.
I think books have been the key to my writing. I’ve always loved reading from childhood up, and eventually found my muse in the genre Suspense/Mystery (throwing in touches of whimsy and romance now and then). But reading took me places, and my imagination whipped up my own childhood tales that I either penned or described (along with my hands).

10.  Do you have any tips for those inspiring authors out there that is taking that first step and hoping to publish someday?

Find out what type of person you are. Are you a go-getter, as a writer, love going out on your own to find your own way? Or do you prefer following the trends, the rules, the guidelines? Do you love writing your own desires because that’s what you want to write/enjoy/feel? Or do you prefer to study the market--money wise and/or demand wise, and follow that course? If you can answer these questions, then you’ll be close to identifying your desired genre.
Find out what type of writer you are:  do you plan each and every detail? Follow your own muse as inspiration hits? Or somewhere in between. This can help you to see whether you’re a seat of the pantser or outliner. Do you lean toward true life stories, fiction or non fiction books? Knowing what interests you will help you move toward writing that will best suit you.
Most of all, and my favorite:  Never, never, never quit. No matter the rejections, discouragements, defeats, lack of inspirations--don’t quit.

The Wright Brother by KA Linde

   TWB Amazon

I'd dated his brother. He didn’t remember and I wish I could forget. I may have sworn off the Wright family a long time ago. But when I returned home, Jensen Wright crashed into my life with the confidence of a billionaire CEO and the sex appeal of a god. Even I couldn’t resist our charged chemistry, or the way he fit into my life like a missing puzzle piece. Too bad he’d forgotten the one thing that could destroy us. Because Jensen Wright doesn’t share. Not with anyone. And if his brother finds out, this could all go down in flames. When it all was said and done, was he the Wright brother?

Perfection from the first word to the last

KA Linde is a new author to me, but I am seriously wondering where I have been to miss such a great author that creates stories that sweep me up and keep me hooked like The Wright Brother did.

This book was sweet, funny, and steamy all wrapped up in one package with a beautiful bow on top.

Jensen was a swoon worthy CEO that knew what knew what he wanted and went after it.

I could not put this book down, and I didn't want to. This is a book that will keep you up all night reading, and after its over it's still on your mind.

You do NOT want to miss this one. So get your one -click finger ready
