Ivan's Captive Submissive by Ann Mayburn

Ivan's Captive Submissive
By Ann Mayburn
My Rating 4. 5 stars

When Gia Lopez signs up for the Submissive Wish Charity Auction she has no idea that she's about to be bought by a Russian Dom who will do anything to make her fantasies come true. Including staging an elaborate kidnapping that Gia believes is real. Ivan is instantly drawn to Gia and he wants to be the best Master she's ever had. As he spends time with Gia he begins to have intense feelings for the strong, independent, and sexy American woman. He's only won a week of her service but wishes to keep her forever.
Unaware of Ivan’s true feelings, Gia fights her growing emotional attachment to him. All she wants is to settle down with a nice Dom in the United States, continue her career, and live a normal life. However, Ivan sets a plan into motion that will push Gia to all of her limits and take her on a global journey of self-discovery, extreme pleasure, and love.
Warning: Contains Erotic Spanking, Subspace, f/f situations, a devastatingly sexy Dom who knows what he wants, and a submissive who just might be ready to give him what he needs.

This is a Russian themed BDSM book that will have you wishing you were Gia. Steamy, sexy, and definitely captivating. Miss Mayburn has created a book that will have you wanting more.

Gia is in a BDSM auction to raise money for the Charity of her choice. Nervous, and sure that no one will bid on her she finds herself in a sticky situation. 425 thousand dollars later she is very shocked. Ivan sets up a role play scene where Gia is kidnapped, but Gia thinks it is real.

Just from the beginning of this book I was hooked. I have never read a Russian themed BDSM book. Compared to other books, it was different. Ivan was a little more dominating than some books I have read in the pass.

There was a nice mix in this book. Some parts were a little more romantic than some BDSM books, but there was also some darkness; which I really enjoyed.  I really enjoyed the beginning part when Gia thought she was kidnapped. It brought a pretty fun twist to the book. Something more than just the normal.

My favorite part of this book was when Ivan and Gia were at a BDSM club, and Ivan made sure everyone knew Gia was his. That really showed how much Ivan was into Gia.

The d/s relationship in this book was nice. They weren't a full time d/ s relationship, but when they were it was awesome.

I thought it was awesome that the author pretrade Gia as a strong female character. Although Ivan was rich, Gia did not want to live off of his wealth. She made sure he knew that she wanted to still work, and not quit her job just to be with him.

I highly recommend this book to anyone that is looking for a BDSM book with a nice Russian twist!

  1. Hi Jackie! I came across your blog through goodreads, so I figured to stop by and say hello! I am now following you :)

OMG! So glad I did stop by because this book sounds HOT! The cover is swoon worthy too! I don't mind BDSM, but I tend to like it evenly distributed throughout the book which is how this one sounds. Also, even though they are quite different, this reminds me of Roxie Rivera's My Russian Protector series. Only in that series, the alpha males were in the Russian mafia. If you haven't checked out Roxie Rivera, I highly recommend her books.

Anyway, thanks for the new book recommendation! I'll be adding that to my to-read this right now. Feel free to stop by my blog sometime. Always looking for new blogger buddies to chat with!

    Best Wishes,
