Pretty Lies by R. E. Bond
I know I know I know! I’m downright horrible at blogging nowadays, but when I do, you know I have a banger for you! And this one, you have to go in blind. Just trust me.
Pretty Lies
by R.E. Bond
He’s made it obvious that I can only ever rely on myself.
Until I meet them.
Caden, Tyler, Jensen, and Lukas.
My new stepbrother and his best friends have suddenly become my everything.
Until they aren’t.
They think they can break me, but they’re dead wrong.
They wouldn’t have bet on me having someone else on my side, or in my bed.
These rich boys haven’t seen anything yet.
Their pretty lies are nothing compared to what’s coming though, and I’m going to need them to anchor me when I finally break.
Death is coming to those who deserve it, and I don’t care if I lose myself in the process.
Did I mention the local street crew being on my side?
No one will ever see me coming.
My name’s Rory Donovan, and I’m about to paint the walls red.
I didn’t date, ever, but Aurora Donovan was something else, and she was fucking mine. It was like her demons were screaming out to join mine, wanting to drown together instead of alone. I just hoped hers knew how to fucking swim.
I. Literally. Have. No. Freaking. Words.
This book was so flipping good. I never expected this book to captivate me and blow my mind in the way it did. after reading a spinoff series within this world, I grew to love these characters, and I knew I had to go back and read it from the beginning, and. oh. my. gosh!
WHAT A BOOK!!
Give this a read. Trust me, you will not regret it. Seriously, stop what you are doing and give this a read. It will be even better if you go in blind. Just trust me on this, feel free to return to this review and thank me later. You’re welcome in advance .

Revenge and Truth by Elizabeth Knight
Revenge & Truth
It’s the only thing on my mind other than getting Luca out of jail. After getting hit with betrayal, lies, and loss I’ve bloodied my hands and crowned myself the queen of the Caprioni Family. I may sit on the throne, but it doesn't mean matters within the Family have gotten better.
The writing is on the wall and I’m damn tired of being the mouse in this game the founding families are playing. Allies are appearing to help expose the truth of what’s really going on behind the scenes, exposing those who thought they could hide from me.
With the truth in hand, it's time for the first stage of my revenge and clean up the mess on my turf. Once I’m through taking out the trash all that’s left is to let the big boys know there’s a new queen in town.
Holy wow! What a book! What an incredible continuation to a fantastic series! I am always on pins and needles for Elizabeth Knight’s books, and this one happens to be one of my favorites!
Astin! Astin! Astin! This bad ass queen continues to become more confident in her position as the boss. She’s not afraid to kick ass and take names while reminding her enemies of who she is, and why you shouldn’t mess with her. And her men? Oh, her men, they are falling right into place at her side! I love the dynamics with all of her guys individually. They’re also starting to fall into place and be more comfortable with each other, and I enjoy seeing that the most! This series keeps getting better and better with each book, and I am on the edge of my seat, waiting to see what’s next. This happens to be one of my favorite series by Elizabeth Knight.
The twist. The turns. The truth revealed. This book has it all, Definitely give this to Read if you haven’t already, trust me, you won’t regret it!

Toe the Line by Penelope Ward
At first, I thought I’d hate spending the summer with Archie Remington—the conceited son of my parents’ friends.
What I knew about Archie: he was gorgeous, pre-law, and had always treated me like I didn’t exist when we were younger.
When our families bought a house together on an island in Maine, he and I were forced to share a bathroom.
The boy I remembered was now a full-grown man—but with the same attitude.
After a rough start, Archie and I unexpectedly started getting along one day and eventually became friends. We shared secrets and bonded during our morning jogs. I discovered that Archie had a wild spirit and that he struggled to conform to his father’s expectations.
Things were cool until I had to go and ruin it, getting drunk one night, and blurting out my fantasy—involving him.
I took it back, but it was too late. Archie had heard me loud and clear. After that, we never quite knew how to toe the line.
When that summer came to an abrupt and shocking end, I headed back to college, unsure if anything would ever be the same again.
Across the miles over the years, he and I stayed in touch as friends, but fate and timing always kept us from becoming more.
You know the saying: If two people are meant to be, they’ll find their way back to each other?
Let’s just say Archie came back into my life in a way I would’ve never expected.
And this time, my heart would really be put to the test.
OMG! It’s been so long since I’ve read a book by Penelope Ward, but reading Toe the Line has reminded me why she will always be one of my favorites!
This story was simply phenomenal from beginning to end. The relationship between these two characters was complicated to say the least, but it was still heartwarming in so many different ways. I enjoyed getting to understand these characters and their relationship in the past, and in the present.
This book had some emotionally heartbreaking scenes within it, but I could not put this down for nothing. I highly recommend this book it’s everything I didn’t know I needed!

New Release!! Sick Boys by Clarissa Wild
NOW LIVE!
I didn’t believe them when they said they would corrupt me.
I was wrong. So wrong.
The night my sister died, a piece of me died with her, so I made a vow.
I'm going to enroll at Spine Ridge University just like her, find the person responsible ... and make them pay.
Until I meet three sick boys of the Skull & Serpent Society: Felix, Dylan, Alistair. Rude, heartless, vicious guys who are obsessed with making me regret I ever stepped foot on campus.
They make me a deal: My body in exchange for a glimpse at their violence.
Refusing them is impossible, denying them is insane.
They're rough, greedy, and every second with them is filled with depravity.
Their venom is jabbed straight into my heart and I’m sucked into their world.
All for the sake of revenge.
Until it becomes something more.
Something priceless.
Something all four of us would kill for.
Excerpt
My fingers push against his chest, but he grabs my hands and pins them above my head to the wall. Then he plants another deep, sultry kiss onto my skin, Page 1 of 4 Page 2 of 4turning up the heat, and I can’t stop the moan from spilling from my mouth when he grinds up against me.
“Please ...”
“Go on,” he murmurs.
“Stop.”
He pulls away, his eyes narrowing. “You trying to back out of our agreement, Pen?” He makes a tsk sound. “I expected more from you. You know I won’t allow it.”
“No,” I say. “I just need you to stop trying to hurt me.”
He tilts his head, and a deadly smirk slowly forms on his face. “I’m not going to stop until I have what I came here for. And what I need is for you to suffer in silence while I do what I do best.”
“And what’s that?” I ask. “Bully girls?”
“Destroy people.”
He says it with such a stone-cold look that I’m feeling the chill in my bones.
“And that includes me,” I say under my breath.
“If it gets me what I want,” he replies.
“What the fuck do you even want, Felix?”
He stares me down like only a cold-hearted killer could. “Revenge.”
The air is thick with electricity, and all I can think about is how much I want to steal his knife and ram it straight into his heart ... and then let him rail me up against this wall.
Fuck. I hate how confused he makes me.
“You wanted my help? You got it,” he growls. “Then take it like a good girl.” He narrows his eyes and leans in. “And get out of my way before I finger fuck you in front of this entire crowd.”
I swallow. Hard.

Broken Play by Alison Rhymes
BROKEN PLAY
by Alison Rhymes
June grew up in the shadow of her brother and his best friend, Drew McKenna. She stood back while Drew dated his way through high school and college, watching and waiting. Waiting for him to realize he loved her as much as she loved him.
When he did, it was the happiest she’d ever been. Until she found him with another woman only five years after their marriage.
Leaving her husband was a simple decision, but there was no easy way to cut him out of her family.
When June receives a fresh start to her career, she also finds what could be a new lease on love. Reality hits Drew with a vengeance.
He wants her back.
She wants to make him suffer.
MY REVIEW
★★★★★
I don’t want to give away spoilers, but Drew and June deserve their happiness. It took a lot to get where they are now. Forgiveness, redemption, learning who they are, figuring out who they are as a couple… Just so much that truly made this book feel so realistic. I highly recommend you guys read this book. Go in blind as I did, and prepare for the emotions that bleed off of the pages along the way. I commend Alison Rhymes. Cheating is not a trope that is easy to write, and you can tell she put a lot of time into it. It’s complex and real. It’s a book that’s about self reflection and learning how to trust again. Broken Play is hands down one the best books I’ve read in a while. I said it once, and I will say it again… PURE PERFECTION. A standing ovation to this DEBUT AUTHOR for writing a book that had me stuck, that will keep me remembering it for a very long time to come.
