Blog Tour: The Falling of Love by Marisa Oldham

The Falling of Love by Marisa Oldham

You will never forget your first date, your first kiss, or your first love. You'll also
never forget how it felt when it was torn apart.
Seventeen-year old Grace Hathaway does not give much thought to falling in love,
until the day that Ian Taylor, rebel and misfit walks into her math class. From their
first conversation, Grace is mesmerized by Ian's charisma and rock star façade.
Ian Taylor, a seventeen-year old kid from the wrong side of the tracks tries to
ignore the feelings he has for Grace, but is captured by her caring, non-
judgmental personality from the moment they meet. Grace becomes Ian's
everything and there is nothing he will not do for her. Hurting her was never part
of his plan.
“The Falling of Love” will take you on a sweet, emotional journey of two young
adults falling in love for the first time, and then tear your heart apart when that
love is threatened by dishonesty and betrayal.
The Falling of Love is the first novel in a series of novels that will follow Grace
Hathaway's life and personal struggles. Everyone has a beginning to their story
and an end...
This is the beginning of Grace's story.

After school, Grace and Ian walk the three and a half blocks to her house. He refuses to let her carry anything other than her purse, something he has done every school day for the past few weeks, despite her protests that she can carry them herself. Contrary to his "bad boy" reputation, Ian is the perfect gentleman. He always opens doors for her, pulls out chairs for her, and her well-being is constantly at the forefront of his mind. Grace cannot recall what life was like before she had this amazing boy in her life, nor does she want to. She appreciates that he always goes out of his way to show her that he loves her.
Grace frowns when Ian runs ahead of her. “Where are you going?” she calls after him.
“Wait right there!” he shouts over his shoulder.
Grace watches as he bends down and pulls a dandelion out of the grass and jogs back to her.
“You know,” he says with an eyebrow raised, “if you make a wish and blow on one of these it comes true. Wanna do it together?”
Grace nods, letting her smile speak for her.
Puckering their lips, they gently blow. Like fairies dancing on the wind, white, feathery bristles float toward the cloud-filled sky.
“What’d you wish for?” Ian asks, with excitement in his eyes.
Swatting him, she laughs. “I can’t tell you that, silly. Then it won’t come true.”
“That’s a bunch of bullshit, Gracie. All my dandelion wishes have always come true. Now tell me!” He tickles her side.
After she stops giggling, she says, “I wished for happily ever after with you.” She looks up at him and the sparkle in his eyes warms her cheeks.
Kinking his head to the side, he smiles, and stares at her. “Then our wish is absolutely coming true, because I wished for the same thing. I didn’t think happily ever after though.” He laughs.
“What did you think?”
“I wished that you would love me forever.”
“You don’t have to wish for that, Ian.”
Ian slides his arm around the back of her neck and pulls her to him as they set off up the hill to Grace’s home. She can see that he is proud to have her under his arm and she is equally gratified.

My Review
This is a heart renching story of two teens, who were forced to grow up before their time. I fell head over hills in love with Grace an Ian. They opened up a special place in my heart justt for them.

While I was reading the book, I felt every emotion and heart breaking thing they went through. This is a story that will have you wanting more. The romance between Grace and Ian was beautiful. However, I did loose a little love for Ian because of the way he treated Grace.
Grace tried to find love in other guys, but no one really came close. I gave this book four stars, because I am a true sucker for romance, and this book made me cry. I enjoyed going on the jurney with Grace and Ian, and I hope I will get the chance to read book two soon!

Thank you Marisa for such a heartworming read. I highly recommend this book to all romance lovers out there.

I recieved this book in exchanged of a honest review, Thank you Marisa!
