Spotlight Saturday with Author GM Scherbert

Welcome to spotlight Saturday's. Spotlight Saturday is when we spotlight an author with an interview. This weeks author is GM Scherbert!

About GM

GM Scherbert was born on a brisk late April morning and grew up in a small town in the Midwest but, quickly decided that was not the life for her. She quickly moved away for college and thought better of returning to that small town on a long term basis. City living is defiantly the life for her...
GMs day job working with people on the Autism spectrum keeps her on the go most of the time. That is when her three small daughters and husband are not pulling her in different directions.
Gm is the kind of gal who is quirky, unique, smutty, crazy, hard to hate, harder to love. She has taken her love for telling stories to the next level by putting her hat in the romance writing game.

If you are interested in romance with twists and some darker themes Author GM Scherbert will be right up your alley.

Interview with GM

Jackie: Tell us a little about you and your books. How many books have you written?

GM: I currently have two series out there. I have six books out in The Devil’s Iron MC Series.  I also recently released the first book in a new series, Unbroken Fates which was the first book in the Fates Reborn Series

Jackie: When writing is there something you keep next to you at all times? Like water or a snack?

GM: I try to make sure that I have music going wen I am writing or I get too distracted by the littlest things. Other than that coffee or wine are usually close by.

Jackie: What's one random fact about you that not many people know?

GM: I am a little bit of an odd duck! My humor and sarcasm usually take a while for you to get used to.

Jackie: Do you listen to music while writing? If yes, what do you listen to?

GM: Yes- varies by mood. Recently it has been a loop of the music from suicide squad…  It also depends on what I am writing- country, rap, metal, jazz, and pop are all on the long list.

Jackie: Tell us about your books.

GM: The Devil’s Iron series follow the men of that MC. This club isn’t your typical biker club though, these bikers own and run a BDSM club. They have their fair share of struggle, but they always get what or who they need and love, no matter what they need to do.
The Fates Reborn Series is just that, each book will follow a fated couple through their struggles to finding what they truly need and want, what their hearts desire.

Jackie: Is there a particular book that you wrote that you are most proud of? If yes, why?

GM: This latest release I am probably the most proud of. The main character started in my mind as part of a very difficult anthology novella that I wrote about Cancer. Developing a story from that struggle was challenging and I am so happy how it turned out.

Jackie: Out of all of your books is there a character you connect to the most? If yes, who is it, and feel free to explain why.

GM: Pearl- she is an older woman with three kids struggling to be happy in her skin and in her life, I think that I relate to her the most. She is a teacher, as am I. She is a mother to three, as am I. She explores her dreams and desires, as I do.

Jackie: What are you currently working on?

GM: I am currently writing the seventh book in the Devil’s Iron MC Series, Heathered Country. This story follows Heather and Country and their struggles through life and love.

Jackie:  Tell us what inspired you to start writing.

GM: I started writing because I found a voice that wouldn’t be quiet. I also think that the stories that I tell are different enough from the “norm” to find a group that is interested in what I have to say.

Jackie: Do you have any tips for those inspiring authors out there that is taking that first step and hoping to publish someday?

GM: Do what you love- if you wanna write, write and put your heart and soul into it. Just remember that everyone likes different stuff, so you can’t please everyone. Be yourself and follow your heart.

Thank you GM for letting us spotlight you today! 😘😘😘
