What in the world took me so long to start this series. It has been on my TBR for a very long time, but I never got around to it. But I definitely regret not reading it when I first saw it.

I love other books by Jay Crownover so, I just knew I was going to love Rule.

Rule sounds so fucking yummy. With all of the tattoos and piercings, I was in heaven no doubt about it. Plus of the take no BS/don't care vibes he had going on just got him extra brownie points in my book. So it's safe to say he will be added to my book boyfriend list ASAP. I want my own Rule damn it!! Tattoos, piercings, and all.

Okay. Let's be honest here. I wasn't sure about Shaw at first. She came off as an icy good girl. And I just couldn't see her and Rule together. But after reading on and learning why she seemed like that, I quickly changed my mind.

Seeing all of the characters that have their own book has me excited. I rarely binge read, but this is a series I mostly will. Give Rule a go if you are like me and haven't read this series. But if you already love Rule and Shaw, then give this book a reread LOL.

Book Talk

Hey guys. Jackie here.

I am in a serious book slump. I only want to read NA High school or college books.

It's insane how many books I have read trying to find something simular to the books that ruined me.

Let me tell you a little story.

Once upon a time a girl came across Paper Princess by Erin Watt and fell in love. If her newest addiction wasn't enough she had a wicked book hangover.

She look low and high for books that were simular. And finally... She came across the Fallen Crest series by Tijan. But that just left her even worse off.

So the girl started looking in some of her favorite book groups and came across more awesome books.

But the girl was never satisfied. She craved more and more.

LOL. True story. Ugh. Its quite annoying too.

So here I am. Still wanting more. So my question is have you guys been obsessed over a certain type of book? If yes, how did you get over it?

Lets chat.

Hey guys!

I thought I would do a list of my top 10 favorite reads so far this year. There are still many books to be read before this year is over, so expect another list. This is my list, so I am sure Shrimalya may do her own.

These are not in any specific order.

1. BROKEN PRINCE by Erin Watt: This book was EPIC. Reed, Reed, Reed. No words needed. And if you still are not sure about reading this book... “You look gorgeous and hot and if I stay in here any longer, your virginity will be on the floor somewhere next to yesterday’s panties.” (DROPS MIC)

2. IT ENDS WITH US  by Colleen Hoover: This damn book tore me apart and I'm sure I haven't been right ever since. CoHo made me fucking ugly cry. Like WTF woman.

3. NEIGHBOR DEAREST by Penelope Ward: Hot as hell annoying neighbor. Do you need more reasons why this is a MUST read?

4. STRIPPED DOWN by Emma Hart: This was a melt your pantie hot type of book. And that damn cover had me drooling.

5. ANTI STEPBROTHER by Tijan: Funny. As. Hell. Tijan is definitely one of my favorite authors.

6. LEARNING TO BREATHE by Marisa Oldham: Another freaking ugly cry book. And yep, it shattered me and put me back togeter again. *Glares at the author via a computer screen.*

7. BIG ROCK by Lauren Blakely: Hot as hell and funny as hell. Enough said.

8. WEST by Stacey Marie Brown: I was sooo excited for this one. Plus Stacey could write a biography and I would no doubt love it LOL.

9. TWISTED PALACE by Erin Watt: IT. WAS. SO. FUCKING. GOOD.

10. MAN CANDY by Melonie Harlow: HOT!!!

Book Review: Three Simple Words by AJ Pine

Three Simple Words (Kingston Ale House, #3)Three Simple Words by A.J. Pine
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

4 stars

AJ Pine has created a book basically about a book, and it was awesome.

This book was different and I liked it. AJ Pine's writing style is fresh and unique. This book grabbed my attention from the first page.

Wes and Annie were adorable. I loved how loyal Annie was to books having a Happy Ending. I also loved the discussions she had on her blog. I must say that she put ideas in my head about doing something simular.

I enjoyed this book and definitely recommend anyone reading this review to give this book a read. Can not wait to give other books by AJ Pine a read.

“Swoony, passionate and oh-so-romantic!”

~NYT Bestselling author K Bromberg

Insanely romantic and so genuinely charming…”

  the-sexy-one-cover

From the NYT Bestselling author of MISTER O, comes a sexy new standalone romance...

Let me count the ways why falling into forbidden love is not my wisest move... 1. She works with me every single day. Did I mention she's gorgeous, sweet, kind and smart? 2. She works in my home. Playing with my five-year-old daughter. Teaching my little girl. Cooking for my princess. Which means... 3. She's the nanny. And that makes her completely off-limits...But it doesn't stop me from wanting her. All of her.

***
The other nannies in this city don't call him the Sexy One for nothing. My boss, the amazingly wonderful single father to the girl I take care of every day is ridiculously hot, like movie star levels with those arms, and those eyes, and that body. Not to mention, the way he dotes on his little girl melts me all over. But what really makes my knees weak are the times when his gaze lingers on me. In secret. When no one else is around.

I can't risk my job for a chance at something more...can I? But I don't know how to resist him much longer either...

With all the heat, heart and humor readers have come to expect, this newest standalone will make you laugh, swoon and feel like you're falling in love!

  the-sexy-one-rwb-teaser-3

A swoony, forbidden standalone contemporary romance, THE SEXY ONE is a forbidden love story, the romantic tale of a single father falling head over heels for the smart, kind and beautiful nanny. Resistance is hard as these two fall deeply in love while she works in his home. But forbidden romances are fraught with their own challenges, and nothing comes easily for this couple. Told in dual POV, THE SEXY ONE is being called Lauren Blakely’s most romantic novel yet. THE SEXY ONE is swoony, sweet, hot and forbidden.

“A good old-fashioned love story with a forbidden twist.”

My review

Lauren Blakely manages to out do herself each time she writes a new book.

The Sexy One was a fun, sweet, and hot book. I just loved the characters and over all the book itself.

It was just the thing I needed while riding out a hurricane. It kept me well entertained and did I mention it was HOT?

Lauren Blakely has been one of my auto-buy authors, and if she keeps pumping out hilarious and sexy books, she will stay that way for a very long time.

Book Review: All Laced Up by Erin Fletcher

ALL LACED UP
Erin Fletcher

Genre: YA Sports Romance
Release Date: October 10th, 2016

Synopsis

Everyone loves hockey superstar Pierce Miller. Everyone except Lia Bailey.

When the two are forced to teach a skating class to save the rink, Lia’s not sure she’ll survive the pressure of Nationals and Pierce’s ego. Not only can’t he remember her name, he signed her bottle of water like she was one of his groupies. Ugh.

But if there’s one thing Lia knows better than figure skating, it’s hockey. Hoping to take his ego down a notch—or seven—she logs into his team website under an anonymous name to give him pointers on his less-than-stellar playing.

Turns out, Pierce isn’t arrogant at all. And they have a lot in common. Too bad he’s falling for the anonymous girl online. No matter how much fun they’re starting to have in real life, she’s afraid he’s going to choose fake-Lia over the real one…

Disclaimer: This book contains a swoony hockey player (and his equally swoony friends!), one-too-many social media accounts, kisses that’ll melt ice, and a secret identity that might not be so secret after all…

My Review
★ ★ ★ ★

All Laced Up was an awesome read.

I adored the characters. Lia was sassy but shy at the same time. I loved how she encouraged Pierce, and in return he encouraged her. Pierce was a sweet guy. I loved how he opened up to Lia. Together they were cute.

This is my first book I have read by Erin Fletcher, but definitely not my last. If you are a young adult fan and love hockey books, then this book is for you!
