My Review

I haven't had a reaction about a character I disliked so strongly in a long time.
But never the less, I picked up Downed because of all of the reviews, and the fact that Jen Frederick is such an awesome writer that I just had to give Ace a second chance.
And...
I winded up loving Ace, and this book in general. Bryant is what really did it for me.
I adored her. She was a sweet southern bell with a heart of gold. I loved how everyone adored her and she in return cared about everyone.
I just knew she was going to be perfect for Ace. Ace was a grade A jerk, but he redeemed himself.
I can not wait for the next book in this series. I am seriously on pins and needles.

The Only One is a charming little story that I enjoyed from start to finish,
In true Lauren Blakely style this book has the steamy sex scenes and a swoon worthy character that will surely make you love him.
After this I think I need my own Gabriel. Someone that knows how to bring the heat in the kitchen and in the bedroom.
EXCERPT: The clock mocks me. As the minute hand ticks closer to eight in the evening, I wrack my brain to figure out if I got the time wrong. Maybe we picked two. Maybe he said ten. Maybe we’re meeting tomorrow. My chest twists with a desperate anxiety as I toy with the band on my watch. But as the fountains of Lincoln Center dance higher under the waning light, I’m sadly certain there was no error in communication. The only error was one of judgment. Mine. Thinking he’d show. Drawing a deep, frustrated breath, I peer at my watch once more, then raise my face, searching the crowds that wander past the circular aquatic display at Manhattan’s epicenter for the performing arts.
